Photo Walks are suitable for beginners and enthusiasts

Whereas my full-day and 3hr Cotswolds workshops offer in-depth photography tuition, these half-day photography walks are as much about enjoying a relaxed walk in beautiful countryside as developing and honing your camera skills. They're ideal for beginners, or for photographers who are happy to set out, on foot, open to any picture-taking opportunities that come our way. With a group size of up to five people, families are very welcome.

Once you've completed the reservation form, below, I'll confirm details of where and when we'll meet for our walk. Generally, each walk lasts up to five hours, during which time we'll cover up to five miles. I've carefully researched several circular walks in the Cotswolds that combine varied scenery with a great range of photographic opportunities. On a typical walk, we'll train our cameras on everything from traditional village scenes to panoramic landscapes of sheep-speckled hills.

Highlights

Depending on the time of year, we might delve into beech or oak woodland rich in autumn colour, or focus on summer butterflies in chalk-rich grasslands. Winter walks offer great opportunities for striking compositions of 'landscapes laid bare', while each season has its floral highlights, from early snowdrops, through to spring orchids and summer poppies. I'll choose the best walk that suits the time of year, as well as your photographic and personal interests.

Why this trip?

• You'll experience the Cotswolds away from the tourist hotspots, walking trails through some of England's most beautiful countryside.

• During the walk, we'll stop wherever we find photographic potential. I'll guide you through the techniques required to make the most of each opportunity. And I will also provide feedback on your images, offering tips and encouragement.
